"Why do we sacrifice so much energy for our art? Not in order to teach
others but to learn with them what our existence, our organism, our personal and
unrepeatable experience have to give us; to free ourselves from the breaks which
hold us back, from the lies we manufacture daily for ourselves and for others;
to destroy the limitations caused by our ignorance and lack of courage; in
short, to fill the emptiness in us: to fulfill ourselves."- Jerzy Grotowski.

at the Arcola Theatre.

Psychosis from 24 April to 20 May 2006. The actors were Efi Dementi, Emily
Randall, Géhane Strehler, Pola Anton,
Rebecca Pownall, Tessa Nicholson, Tracey-Anne Liles. The director was
Daniel Goldman, the producer was Jana Manekshaw, the production stage manager
Kirsten Turner, lighting by Lawrence Stromski, design Margaret Krawecka and

"A dynamic new chorus production of Sarah Kane’s last play...
4.48 Psychosis is Sarah Kane's brutal and poetic exploration of a mind preparing
to shut itself down. Spiked with gallows humour, Sarah Kane's fifth and final
play charts the journey of mind and body; from darkness into light, from pain
into love, from life into death."
Benjamin Davis in Time Out (8-15 Mar 2006) says "A chorus of
seven women chime with Kane's beloved (Greek) themes (love, death, sacrifice)...
Director Daniel Goldman has done a fine job of creating an uncomfortable,
essential experience".

Purificati
(Cleansed) in
Toscana, Italy

Cleansed was performed in Italian at the Fondazione Teatro
Metastaso Toscana, Italy. It was on at Städtische Bühnen Münster from 10-12 May
2006. The director was Marco Plini and the actors were Milutin
Dapcevic, Silvia Ajelli, Roberto Salemi, Michelangelo Dalisi, Giuseppe Sangiorgi,
Diego Sepe and Gaia Insenga.

4.48 Psychose in
Muenster, Germany

4.48 Psychose was performed in German at the Städtische Bühnen
Münster from 8 Feb 2006. The director was Teresa Rotemberg.

Gier
(Crave) in Frankfurt, Germany

Gier (Crave in German) was performed at the Centre Culturel
Odyssée, Eybens, France from 11- 13 Jan 2006. The director was Wanda Golonka, staging
was by Wanda Golonka and costumes by Wanda Golonka. It
premiered on 22 Apr 2006.
Erfahrungsraum entgegen
