I'll look for it, as I'm always up for something historical, but it looks like it won't play here in the U.S., at least in theaters, as there are no release dates given for it.

Actually, one of the best films made, and set during the English Civil War, was "The Conqueror Worm," or, as it was known in most of the rest of the world, "The Witchfinder General" with Vincent Price.

Mark Kermode mentions The Devils as one of the films paid homage to in A Field in England .

This is a new British directed by Ben Wheatley. It is black-and-white and is set in the English Civil War.

What is interesting is that the film was released (on 5 July 2013) in cinemas, on video on demand and on (free) television (Film4) all on the same day.
