The restored version of Ken Russell's The Devils premiered at the Cannes Film, and will be part of the New York Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival and the London Film Festival and then released internationally.
USA
- 26 September 2026 New York Film Festival (NYFF). See separate post for details
- There are "sneak previews" in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Portland, Nashville and Boston ahead of the theatrical release
- 16 October 2026 is the theatrical release in more than 85 venues
Canada
- Toronto's TIFF festival: 10 September at TIFF Lightbox and 14 September 2026 at Scotiabank Theatre. See separate post for details

UK and Ireland
- BFI London Film Festival- 9 October 2026 BFI Southbank NFT1 and 12 October 2026 Prince Charles Cinema, London
- The film will be presented generally in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from 30 October.
Italy. Cineteca di Bologna will present the director’s cut of The Devils (I diavoli|), screened for the first time on 35mm film. This is part of the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival from 20–28 June 2026. Luxembourg. The film will be screened in Luxembourg by Cinextdoor, but no dates yet.
