Title: Exam Revision - Kane and Bond- Rebecca

Hi everyone, I'm studying for my British Tragedy exam paper at the moment and although Sarah Kane is not on the reading list (a tragic oversight in itself I feel) Bond's 'Lear' is - my favourite on the syllabus. I was hoping to be able to link Bond with Kane as they both appear to have uncompromising approaches to dramatic representation, particularly with regard to physical violence. Any help you could give me would be very gratefully recieved! Rebeccca x

A good place to start for any work on Kane is Graham Saunder's _'Love Me Or Kill Me': Sarah Kane and the Theatre of Extremes_ (Manchester UP, 2002), which includes an afterword by Bond.

Given that your course is in tragedy, you'll do well to also explore Howard Barker's theatre of catastrophe in relation to Kane's work.
