Zakes Mokae passed away

Sadly Zakes Mokae passed away in his sleep aged 75 at approximately 12:30 am on 11 September 2009 in Las Vegas.

Zakes Mokae worked with Fugard from the very begining, most memorably in Blood Knot establishing both on the world stage,  In film Mokae excelled in both anti-apartheid films such as A Dry White Season to horror films such as the Serpent and the Rainbow.

There will be a  memorial at Palm Mortuary Las Vegas, Nevada on 18 Sept 2009.
Condolences to his wife Mandy.
