Malden had a pretty interesting career, lot of stuff with Brando inlcuding Streetcar and On the Waterfront.

In the obituary of Karl Malden in The Times 3 Jul 2009, Billion Dollar Brain is described as the film that torpedoed the Harry Palmer series.  Accurate I think, Ken can't do action films.

Karl Malden has died at the age of 97.

He appeared alongside Michael Caine as the ambiguous partner/villain in Ken Russell's 'Billion Dollar Brain' (1967)
