I now received a message saying they now cannot give a release date.

I wonder what caused the August date to suddenly appear?

Thanks for that. My pre-order has the same dates. I checked the Network website but they don't list it.

I haven't canceled my order with amazon because I didn't want to contribute any negative feedback about this long hoped for release.

That said I have since moved over to Moviemail for dvds and blu-rays as it has become so obvious as to be unavoidable that amazon are antisocial gouger so-and-sos.

Amazon now say it will be out in August- this month!!  They estimate I will receive it between 12-21 Aug 2013.

However the entry on the site doesn't give a release date.  There is hope!

Amazon has changed the release date to december 31, 2013. So it is probably not going to happen anymore... the same happened to the 'Elgar: Fantasy of a composer' Dvd a couple of years ago: they changed the release date and eventually it disappeared. And that was also the same company: 'network dvd'....

A very mouth watering list. I haven't seen most of them, either for years or at all.

I'd love to see The Secret Life of Sir Arnold Bax again. Martin Scorsese mentioned Ken's performance in one of his recent tributes. It's still on the bbc web site.

The video clip is entitled - Martin Scorsese on 'fearless' film director Ken Russell.
