BAFTA for Melvyn Bragg
« Reply #1 on: June 06, 2010, 10:22:22 PM »
Melvyn Bragg, now Lord Bragg, was given a fellowship atr the BAFTA awards tonight- it is the highest award BAFTA gives.

In his speach he singled out Huw Wheldon of Monitor for giving him his break.  No mention of Ken.
Ken always mentions Wheldon as well.

His South Bank Show (where a lot of Ken's later television work appeared over many years) has finished but Bragg is still around as a novelist, and on the radio.
