Continuing where we left off.

Scout Kevin is . . ./ Cousin Kevin is . . .

homely/handsome

sane/psychopathic

mindful/heedless

passive/agressive

respectful/disrespectful

placid/violent

loyal/disloyal

genuine/phony

considerate/inconsiderate

pure/purulent

dull/eager

abused physically/physical abuser
(We can presume that Tommy in "Tommy" is sexually abused by Uncle Ernie, but does Cousin Kevin's physical abuse of Tommy, reach the level of sexual abuse?)

Christian/heathen

Now, our next question: "Is PC Erny in "Lair of the White Worm" named after Uncle Ernie in "Tommy?"

Next time: "The Six Best Books on Russell (Not Written by Russell)

Russell seemingly likes to use mirror images in his films and across his films. Oh, I don't mean the images you see in a mirror. Though, he uses those, too. I mean contrasting characters that are the opposite of each other.

men/women
women/men

pagans
Christians

restraint
indulgence

rich folks
poor folks

upper class
lower class

China Blue
Peter Shayne

"Who are you?"
"I am you."

Which makes me wonder, was Russell thinking of Cousin Kevin in "Tommy," when he named the boy scout in "Lair of the White Worm" Kevin.  Of course, it could be because of the line in the film "Me mates call me, Kev." But then, he could have called the character Richard, then the line would have been "Me mates call me, Dick." Now there is a phallic joke if I ever heard one.

But . . .
