I've never seen a production of Blasted and I'm really curious to know how people usually solve some scenes and problems of mise en scene of this play: - when the soldier sucks Ian's eyes (how to do that on-stage?????) - when Cate bites Ian's pen*s. - when Ian eats the baby (do people use a foam rubber doll or what?) If you've seen this play on-stage, please answer me! And congrats for your site, Ian. Lots of info!

i know that for the baby - when it's being eaten, that is, not when Cate carries it into the hotel room - they tend to use chicken meat or some such thing...

To do the eyes, you have the victikm with his back to the audience (or at an angle) and the attacker in front of him. The audience can't see totally him, and the attacker can rub red dye or something over the eyelids so when the victim turns round his eyes are blood
