No replies, so no-one knows.

A guess on my part.  Hothouse was originally withdrawn by Pinter and not available for publication.  So possibly when your collected edition was originally published, the title was correct.  It was almost thirty years before Pinter allowed Hothouse to be performed and published.

My version of the Collected Works (Faber) does include the play.

Does anyone know why the recent Complete Works of Harold Pinter has missed out The Hothouse? It's the version published by Avalon Travelling Publishing. Inside the front cover it lists what works are available in all 4 volumes and The Hothouse isn't listed in any of them. The title of Complete works is a bit misleading in that respect.  ???
