Continuing . . .
Comedy
It is not a comedy and it is not funny.
It is a comedy and it is funny, especially the scout's seduction.
Female murderess. Male victim. Obvious is the boldness with which Ken approaches this scene. Whereas, most of the victims in other such scenes are adult males, here we have one of the few victims who is still a male child. Less obvious--perhaps--is Ken's skill as a screenwriter. His scene is much better written (IMHO) than similar scenes in other films.
Details
No explanation as to the detail of how a mongoose and a grenade were obtained in that one scene.
The tree in another scene is an apple tree, as if from the Garden of Eden.
Editing
Sloppy
Impeccable comic timing with the Dionin paen interrupted by the doorbell.
Editing, Too
It has an Alice in Wonderland quality to it.
The editing is realistic.
