4.48 PSYCHOSIS by Sarah Kane / directed by Tony McCleane-Fay. 11, 12, 13 & 21, 22 OCTOBER at 8pm Special Jazz Festival Performance @ 12midnight on Saturday 23 October. “Theatre has no memory, which makes it the most existential of the arts.” Sarah Kane, 1998 Granary in association with Bare Cheek Theatre Company presents the Irish Premiere of Sarah Kane's final play. '4.48 PSYCHOSIS' deals with the suicide of a young girl. Kane interweaves fantasy and delusion with her life experience, including her relationship with the psychiatrist in the mental hospital in which the play is set. Directed and designed by Tony McCleane-Fay and starring; Paula McGlinchey, Kate McSwiney-O'Rourke, Sara-Jane Power and Charlotte Murphy with an original score by Pat Jackman, this play will haunt you long after you leave the theatre. Please be aware that this play contains scenes which some may find disturbing. "Sarah Kane's final play is as compact and beautiful as a diamond in its structure - and yet the mood it inspires is as black as coal.” Time Out, London.
