Robin's offence is unspecified. We are just told that he 'messed up', and that he is serving a fixed-term sentence (30 years) so is there to be rehabilitated (cleansed!) not exterminated. To me this suggests his crime was drug use. Or maybe he was duped into being used as a drug mule? - this seems plausible given his personality.
The Woman would seem to be a paid employee, hired illegally by either guards or prisoners to do her strip shows.
