I Wanna Agent is a 16 page two hander.

John is an actor in his thirties, Bruce is his friend, the same age and also an actor.  John has no agent, and is very bitter. In his bitter memories he shows how he has driven away agents.

The play has reasonable dialogue, but it does not rise above bitterness- there are no insights, no use of language that lingers, no unexpected turn in the flow to surprise.

John and Bruce list "the great actors" Peter O'Toole, Albert Finney, Alec McCowen and Robby Stephens as well as, of course, Laurence Olivier.  Just as in Shakespeare's Villains, Berkoff mentions Olivier's Othello, and how it would be impossible now to have a white actor playing the role (blacked up)- "actors play anything".

It would be good to have an evening of these short plays, and maybe a live performance might bring out more in the play.
