I read a newspaper interview with her while Blasted was on, thought she sounded right up my street and found out more - from then on I was hooked.

Thanks very much for your help - that it is good point and I will include it in my essay.

From looking at this site, you seem to know your stuff Jess. I take it you are a huge fan of Sarah's. How did you get into her work? I have only recently discovered her but she certainly is revolutionary!

Thanks again for the info. It is very much appreciated.

"War is the ultimate extention of how men are supposed to behave", isn't that a (mis)quote from Nietchie?

Sarah said in an interview at the time of Blasted (Independent, 23.01.95) that a theme underlying the play was that the mentality that produces an individual act of violence is the same one that produces war. She added that war is the ultimate extension of how society expects men to behave.

Hi everyone. I am currently writing an essay on Sarah Kane on the subject of violence. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me on this? I will be using Blasted and Cleansed, and if anyone has any material I would be very grateful.
