Title: 4.48 in Glasgow
Post by: ignatian on November 11, 2008, 01:34:55 PM
There is a version of 4.48 currently be staged at Glasgow's Tramway. It has a great high concept, but doesn't really do justice to Kane's language, opting for a diverse array of voices rather than capturing that focussed intensity that drives her work.

That said, anything at Tramway is worth an evening, and a slightly off performance of 4.48 is better than most evenings out...

Thanks for this.  I don't know the Tramway (my background was Edinburgh rather than Glasgow- now I am in London) but it sounds good.

I agree about the focused intensity- but as you say a slightly off performance of 4.48 is better than most evenings out.  I have added details to the news page
