More events.

Berkoff is at the Stoke Newington Literary Festival, a day of celebrations to honour former London resident, American writer Edgar Allan Poe.

"First an eminent panel comprising Christopher Fowler, Kim Newman, Barry Forshaw, Pat Cadigan and Stephen Jones discuss the works and incredibly wide ranging and enduring influence of Poe across the cultural landscape. This is followed by the legendary Steven Berkoff discussing his own dramatic adaptation of the Poe classic, The Tell Tale Heart, currently touring. Immediately after this event, Berkoff will be unveiling a bust of Poe outside the Fox Reformed restaurant– the site of the school Poe attended while living in Stoke Newington. This event will have an interval and will last just over 2 hours."

Steven Berkoff in conversation at the Hampstead Theatre, London, 9 Nov 2008.

Steven Berkoff talks to forensic psychotherapist Estela Welldon about "his challenging productions and cutting-edge approach to theatre.  They will also discuss his fascination with humanity's darker side, including the villainy of Shakespeare."

"Estela Welldon worked for many years as Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy at the Portman Clinic. She is also the Founder and Elected Honorary President for Life of the International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy.  Connecting Conversations is an ongoing series of events that brings together practitioners from the world of psychoanalysis with leading practitioners from other fields.  The events aim to make connections between individuals, organisations, disciplines and ideas."

Thanks to Kari for the information.  Details are here www.hampsteadtheatre.com/prod-productions_details.asp?pid=95
