I'm writing an essay for uni on multiplicity and contemporary performance and I'm going to focus on Crave and 4.48. I've read a number of interviews with Sarah but does anyone know of any academic or critical writing on her work?

There's a very good chapter on her in 'In-Yer-Face Theatre' by Aleks Sierz.

There is about a page in Richard Eyer's 'Changeing Stages' though this concentrates on Sarah as a writer only touching on tablid reaction, the chapter also covers Mark Ravencroft, Anthony Nilson and Judy Upton.

And again it's nearly all about Blasted. As I've said before there's not an awful lot been written about 4.48, though there's some interesting views at the links on this web site, and also in David Greig's introduction to the Complete Plays.

Thanks Jess and Jadin. Alas In-Yer-Face Theatre is not out in Australia yet but it sounds like it will be a good read when I can get hold of it and it's good to know that it deals with some of SK's later works. Thanks you.

Order it from the British or American Amazon web sites (links on the 'books' page of this site)
www.iainfisher.com/kane/eng/kane-shop.html (http://www.iainfisher.com/kane/eng/kane-shop.html) - it's well worth it.
