I've ordered it.  The region A doesn't affect me as I don't have Blu-Ray (!!) but I will someday...

The film is visually stunning

but I do think this get in the way of an action film.

Does the Blu-ray include the Beatles song?  It is one of the few films to have been given permission to use their music (it was relatively early in their career).  I have seen a version of Billion Dollar Brain where the music was missing.

Just got the disc. Image quality is fine. Kino doesn't do any digital
restoration on any of their films in the classic line. So basically what
you have is the print presented as is. That being said, it has a nice
film-like appearance (especially when seen on a projector). The only
extra is the theatrical trailer. It is region 'A' only. So those in the UK
will need an all-region blu-ray player.

Personally, I find the film entertaining. It's not so much Ken Russell's
film as he was the hired director, but he manages to find some intriguing
visual ideas and keeps the story moving along briskly. It also proves
that he was more than equal to the task of making a large-budget genre
film (and part of a franchise no less) and still find ways of incorporating
his own visual style into it.

As part of their acquisitions deal with MGM, Kino Studio Classics will
be bringing Ken Russell's Billion Dollar Brain to Blu-ray on October 7.

This disc will be probably be region A, so you'll need an all-region player
in the UK.
