What she did so well was to articulate the feelings of trauma and pain that many people feel, and in that way her works become a companion. (So do the works of Sylvia Plath such as her poem Daddy which you quote from).
I am sure your message will also help others who are feeling the same. It is always good to reach out to people who have had similar traumatic experiences. You and others are welcome to post here.
Also sometimes speaking to someone anonymously can be helpful. That is why organisations like The Samaritans (www.samaritans.org or in the USA https://988lifeline.org ) are so important.
