Just received my two box sets (Great Composers and Great Passions) and started watching Song of Summer. It used to start with a silent Laurel and Hardy, with Fenby playing piano to accompany it in the cinema.
For copyright reasons they were not allowed to use the Laurel and Hardy segment on DVDs, so the previous DVD version misses this out. But on Great Composers they have replaced Laurel and Hardy with another silent film, which makes sense of the introduction at last.
