Vanessa Redgrave discussion

As well as appearing in various good films, Vanessa was a very good theatre actress.  For a while she appeared with Timothy Dalton (James Bond) in a lot of plays, I saw them in Shakespeare's Anthony and Cleopatra and Eugene O'Neil's A Touch of the Poet.

I said she was a good theatre actress, because I have been disappointed in her last few appearances (The Trojan Women, The Year of Magical Thinking).

Corin Redgrave was equally good on stage, including various Shakespeare.  His recent solo work, de profundis, was one of his best roles.

Yes, the Redgraves, one of the premier acting families in Britain. There was and is the father Sir Michael and sister Lynn. And of course, Vanessa Redgrave was the mother of Natasha and Joely. Both Vanessa and Natasha working with Ken, Vanessa in "The Devils" and Natasha in "Gothic."

Vanessa Redgrave will talk about "the many roles she has played on stage and screen that have been based on the lives of real people".  I assume there will be a chance to ask questions after this.

Incidentally the next day Corin Redgrave, her brother, performs Oscar Wilde's De Produndis.  I saw him do it at the National Theatre and recommend it highly.
