Peter Maxwell Davis, the classical composer, has died.
He worked with Ken on The Devils and The Boyfriend, and Ken helped him release his magnificent Eight Songs for a Mad King (my copy states "Produced by Ken Russell").
An interesting person, he moved to a cottage on one of the most Northern Scottish islands with no electricity or running water.
I saw him conduct his own work a few times, and also last year when he was at the premiere of his organ work in the Royal Festival Hall.
