I am still looking for the article about intertextuality. I am analysing Crave and I have discovered many sources. One of them is very well analysed in Saunders' book "Love me or Kill Me". could anyone help me finding the article? THANKS!

The article you mentioned will show you some of the intertextual connections, but only concerning other literature-texts.

For Björk it's just the other way around. On her last Album "Verspertine", there is a song called "An echo, a stain", which consists completely of lines out of "Crave". Lines from other artists can surely be found, but I have not seen a list of those anywhere. Should be a difficult task anyway, because lines like, i.e. "Love will tear us apart" could be Sarah's words, or a song of the band Joy Division, you won't be able to say for sure, as you can with Shakespeare, Eliot, or Bible-Quotes.

As im in the process of investigating Kane and the use of intertextuality in Crave and I was wondering if anyone had any particular comments or opinions?

Does anybody notice any particular lines or patterns of speech within Crave? I notice that in previous articles this has been discussed, Im sorry to repeat, but do people mind commenting upon where they recognise lines from.

The waste land is an obvious source of influence, but people have mentioned Bjork and also Sondheim's Into the woods. There must be loads more.............

And what is people view point concerning this, how does intertextuality affect performance and reception, obviously no piece of work is original, however, does Kane acknowledge in her work?

I am desperately looking for the copy of the essay "Sarah Kane: A late Modernist:Intertextuality and the broken images of Crave" which appeared in CDE studies 8. I would attempt to order it but I think its gonna take too long. If anybody would be able to send me this essay in the next week via email or snail mail I would be sooooooooo grateful.
