Minäkin haluaisin tietää pyöriikö Crave vielä Suomessa. Ei varmaan Helsingissä, koska tietäisin muuten siitä.

Siis, pyöriiköhän _Crave_ edelleen Helsingissä? Missä teatterissa?

In Finland Crave seems to have been quite a bit different. First of all there were three men and only one women (the character who says she wrote the word 'ugly' on the mirror, cannot remember the "abbreviation"). The play was set around a table and the actors were like spending an evening together drinking and eatĂng grapes. The stage is actually very, very small with a door on the street (the night I was there it rained and at one point one of the actors opened the door and shouted from the top of his lungs scaring the s**t out of the people on the street).

BTW, Crave was the first play I saw by Kane, and is the only one this far shown in Finland. 4.48 Psychosis had it's premiere yesterday and Cleansed starts in about a week. Yes I have booked the tickets already and read the Complete Plays. :-)

Well I have only seen the forst production in Scotland. Which was just four people on chairs. But I don't think the asthatics are really that important, it is the text and emotion of the passages that is.

My advice would be to perform it more as a singer performs a song. Try to emote with the voice and not do to many hand gesturs or stuff. But then you could go compleatly differnt... That is the fun of directing :)

Hello, I am an acting student at Bretton Hall College and I am about to embark on the scary task of performing in a self-directed version of Crave with three other fellow students. I would be really grateful if anyone could give us an idea of how other versions have been staged. Have there always been four people on chairs, static and if this is the case how do they make it aesthetically pleasing? Thank you Ali
