This has been discussed elsewhere on the board. Simon Kane explained that he insists the first production in the US must be a professional one, because he wants the American premiere to be as good as possible.

We are in the processes of performing the play for our A levels and like you feel passionatly about it. Look at the practioners Artaud and Peter Brook for help. Good luck.

This isn't really relevant to the discussion but I am wondering if you can help me. I am a directing student from America looking to do a production of 4.48 psychosis on an amateur level in the states. I have contacted the agency responsible and was told that is impossible. The woman was quite rude and curt with me. I feel that Sarah would want the work to go on and I passionatly want to do this show. Any suggestions or contacts? Thanks a lot. Susan
