hi Deirdre,
I was wondering If I could read your work on Kane and Beckett as well. I'm writing and extended essay comparing the two playwrites and any information would help.

Hi, I wrote my undergraduate thesis on Sarah Kane and her form. I also wrote one or two good essays on Becketts form also so I could forward on some stuff if you wanted. It is definitely similar in places. I would look up the term minimalism in relation to Beckett's work because Kane did that a lot particularly in 4.48 and Crave. Dimishing sentence structures etc. I have my own personal opinions on why that is too. Would be delighted to help in whatever way I can. Deirdre

like words coming back and this big piece in the middle of nowhere A-Ham? And many other similarities in the structure of the non-story? But Where it is magic that is where Kane keep all her originality Best rgds

I'm very interested if any of you have found any particular intertextual connections with beckett's plays in kane's works. Not only common themes, but also any similarities in language's strucktures, quotes, etc. And, if you explored it, why did she use it, what is the purpose? I will be really greatful for your answers, on this site or by e-mail. I'm also interested in thesis, which anyone's written in english on kane's plays. I'm preparing my thesis, so it would be very helpful to be in touch with someone, who has an experience in this field of themes. Bartek
